An unexpected dose of dry air weakened Hurricane Else just as she was going to do serious damage last night. Tampa dodged a tropical bullet as a result. We can avert the same harm by caring about others, and be just as surprising to those who gain from our kindness. The storms we’re going through could use some dry air themselves. It may not seem likely until we try, but last night proves that anything’s possible. Pay it forward and pass it on.
